Dear Reader,
I’m Shannon Dove, the author and artist behind The Sobriety Sisterhood and Art by MoonShadow. My work is rooted in survival, imagination, and the belief that stories and art can rebuild a life from the inside out.
As a recovering addict and alcoholic, writing became the place where I learned to breathe again. Every poem, story, and piece of art I create carries that journey—raw truth, mythic emotion, and the courage to rise after falling.
In October 2025, I released Ride or Die: Rise to Remember on Poetizer.com, a ten‑poem collection born from relapse, healing, and the fierce decision to choose myself. I also write fiction filled with stormlight and spirit, including Bella: The Girl Who Was the Storm’s Heir, a story about a woman discovering her power after loss.
Through Art by MoonShadow, I create all my own covers and artwork. My visuals and my writing are woven together to build immersive emotional worlds for readers to step into.
I write for everyone who is rebuilding themselves, for survivors reclaiming their voices, and for anyone who has ever stood in the ruins and decided to rise anyway. If you found me through poetry, fiction, art, or recovery—you’re welcome here.

My name is Shannon Dove, and I’m a multi‑genre author and mixed‑media artist who builds worlds from survival, imagination, and storm‑lit emotion. I founded The Sobriety Sisterhood and Art by MoonShadow, two creative spaces where my writing and artwork come together to tell stories of resilience, rebirth, and raw truth.
I write across genres — poetry, mythic fiction, dark emotional fantasy, women’s empowerment, and recovery‑rooted storytelling. My style blends cinematic imagery, mythic symbolism, emotional honesty, and a touch of supernatural grit. Whether I’m writing about real‑world healing or storm‑born heroines, my voice always carries the same heartbeat: rise, rebuild, remember who you are.
I create all my own artwork, covers, and visual worlds through Art by MoonShadow, using AI‑driven mixed media to bring my characters, emotions, and themes to life. My art and writing are inseparable — one breathes life into the other.
