Joseph Sultan is a writer, journalist, translator, and cultural researcher focused on promoting Serbian literature, Serbian folklore, and Serbian cultural heritage to Arabic-speaking readers. Through his books and translations, he works to introduce the classics of Serbia and the Balkans to new international audiences. Sultan’s current literary project centers on Serbia. He translates Serbian classics into Arabic, including works connected to Vuk Stefanovic Karadzic, Branislav Nusic, Stevan Sremac, and Milovan Glisic. His books present Serbian folk tales, Serbian comedy, Serbian fiction, and Balkan cultural memory for readers across the Arab world. His works include Arabic editions of Srpske narodne pripovijetke, Pop Cira i Pop Spira, Posle devedeset godina, and Sumnjivo lice. Through these publications, Joseph Sultan promotes Serbian culture internationally and builds a literary bridge between Serbia and the Arab world. As a journalist and author, Sultan is dedicated to cultural diplomacy through literature. His mission is to make Serbian classics visible beyond Serbia, support the global recognition of Serbian writers, and bring the richness of Serbian heritage to Arabic readers.
