K.T. James

K.T. James has been Hard-of-Hearing since age three and a storyteller since then. Discovering the Deaf community and learning sign language before college gave her communication, friendship, and belonging, along with a mission to write the Deaf characters she never found in books growing up, because everyone deserves to see themselves in a story. She co-hosts DEAFinitely Readers, an online book club celebrating Deaf/HoH representation. When she isn't writing, you'll find her ice-skating, cross-stitching, rewatching Doctor Who, visiting lighthouses, or adding to her collection of lighthouses and vintage typewriters, coffee always in hand. She lives in Alabama with her husband, two lively kids, and a cuddly dog who keeps her company through every writing session.
