✨Nurse by day, aspiring author by night. ✨ I was born and raised in the south and I am married to my sweet husband. I have two furbabies that are overly spoiled. P.A. Everlight is the pen name I chose to write under, giving me the freedom to explore different genres, experiment with new ideas, and tell the stories that are waiting to be told. But the name itself holds a special meaning. “P.A.” represents the first girl name I ever fell in love with, long before I could have known what our future would hold. “Everlight” represents the ever-present search for the light at the end of the tunnel—the belief that even through the hardest chapters, there is always a little light waiting to be found. I’m currently writing my debut contemporary romance novel, and I’m so excited to bring you along for the journey from first draft to finished book. It is book 1 in a duology. There will be late nights, rewrites, unexpected twists, and plenty of moments where I question what I’m doing—but I wouldn’t trade this journey for anything. Dear Reader, Welcome. ❤️ If you’ve found your way here, I’m so glad you did. I am currently working on my debut contemporary romance. Writing this book has been a dream, a challenge, and one of the most personal journeys I’ve ever taken. What started as an idea slowly became characters with stories of their own, moments that made me laugh and cry, and a world I couldn’t stop thinking about. And now, somehow, you’re here at the beginning of it all. My book isn’t published yet…but that’s what makes this part so special. You get to watch it become a book! You’ll see the edits, the late nights, the little victories, the moments of doubt, the characters who steal my heart, and all the pieces that come together before a story finally finds its way into readers’ hands. At the heart of this journey is a romance about love, marriage, fear, and the things we sometimes struggle to say to the person we love most. There will be beautiful moments, messy moments, and a few surprises along the way. So whether you’re here because you love romance, you’re curious about the story, or you simply want to follow along as a first-time author brings her dream to life…thank you. Last night, I officially sent my manuscript to my editor and a beta reader! 🥹📖 To those who have done this a million times, it might seem like a small thing to celebrate. But for me, it’s monumental. When I started this journey, I never imagined I’d reach a point where I could have other people read my work, offer feedback, and help me shape this story into the best version of itself. And now, here I am. One more step closer to self-publishing. 🥰 This book means so much to me. I’ve poured countless hours, emotions, ideas, and pieces of myself into these pages, so I’m incredibly grateful to have two amazing people helping me bring it to its full potential. For now, I’m going to celebrate this little milestone and give myself permission to step away from the manuscript until the feedback comes in. ❤️ Maybe I’ll spend some extra time with family. Maybe I’ll play a video game. Or… maybe I’ll sneak away and start working on Book 2. 👀 One milestone down. One step closer to seeing this book in readers’ hands. ✨

When I started this writing journey, I knew I would be doing most of it on a low budget. As much as I would love to hire professionals for every step of the process, that just isn’t financially possible for me right now. But sometimes, the right opportunity finds you when you least expect it. 🥹 Thanks to a fellow author on TikTok who shared his editor in a video, I now have a REAL EDITOR!! 🥰📚 I honestly can’t put into words how grateful I am for this opportunity. As someone navigating the publishing journey for the first time, having a professional set of eyes on my story feels like such a huge milestone. She is in school and working on building her portfolio so she is helping me for free! 🥹 I’m so excited (and maybe a little nervous 😅) to see what feedback comes from this process and how much stronger I can make this story. One more step. One more piece of the puzzle. One step closer to publishing. ✨ And I’m taking you all along for the journey. ❤️

The Beginning

There’s something exciting about writing a romance novel that no one has read yet. My first draft is finished, but the journey is far from over. Now comes the part where I dig deeper, rewrite, edit, question every scene, and slowly turn this story into the book I’ve always imagined. This isn’t just a story about Alexandria and Daniel. It’s a story about love, marriage, uncertainty, and the moments that can change everything. I’m so excited to bring you along as I continue this journey toward publication. There will be edits, surprises, behind-the-scenes moments, and plenty of things I can’t reveal just yet. 😉 If you love romance, complicated relationships, and stories that make you wonder “what happens next?”—I think you’ll want to follow along.
