After nine years, twenty-six-year-old Monroe Félix exits an abusive relationship with longtime boyfriend Dave Black. Shortly after, she gets a life-changing diagnosis of bipolar disorder, PTSD, and alcoholism. As this happens Monroe meets fifty-one-year-old producer Darcy Hart. The two become fast friends, but as their relationship grows, feelings start to develop. As they get closer, they find in each other's company what they had never known before. However, not all is well, as Dave lurks in the shadows of Monroe's life, tormenting her at every turn. Will Monroe and Darcy be able to survive Dave's interference?

Charlie is a Mexican-American author who lives in Bakersfield CA. They grew up splitting their time between Aguascalientes, Mexico, and California in the US. They have three dogs, two chiweenies and one full blooded chihuahua. They splits their time between writing novels and drawing graphic novels. They also love reading, both novels and fan-fiction. Charlie is a big fan of The Beatles and AFI, both bands routinely provide inspiration for both their art and writing. Charlie has bipolar disorder and fibromyalgia and is disabled. A lot of their writing features these themes. Charlie is a tattoo enthusiast and an all around alt fashion lover. They are also a huge comic book nerd, loving both indie and major comics, especially the X-Men. Pro-Wrestling is the only sport Charlie enjoys, and has been an avid lover for twenty years.
