Hi, readers. This is a very short booklet designed as an introduction to those of you contemplating self-publishing. I did so after being frustrated with the query process, which inevitably resulted in 1.) no responses from agents, 2.) negative responses from agents, or 3.) a simple "thank you and fuck you" from agents. Self-publishing can be cheap or free depending on the platform you use, and you retain complete control. Good luck!

Tom Kranz is a writer and podcaster. He is a native of Philadelphia, where he attended Temple University and earned a bachelor’s degree in communications. His career as a journalist took him to radio, television, and online platforms, followed by twelve years as a corporate communications director. He also served as a volunteer EMT for 22 years in his New Jersey town.
