About She Will Become

Tristen never meant to leave Earth. One moment she's reaching into a box that shouldn't exist; the next she's falling out of the sky into the freezing ocean of Abiniam, a world she knows nothing about and never chose. She's still carrying everything she left behind — a life half-lived around Ani, the best friend she's loved in silence since she was fourteen, and David, the steady, easy love she settled for instead of ever saying so. Abiniam doesn't care what she left unfinished. Pulled into the royal court under Queen Genevieve's uneasy protection, Tristen is thrust into a world ruled absolute by the Ostian church — one god, one law, one symbol pressed into every door and every wax seal: a crescent moon speared by an upthrust sword. She's drawn, against every warning, to Fahl, the king's Uwate manservant — a man serving a god and a church that conquered his people and outlawed the pleasure his own gods once blessed. Every hour with him is a small act of treason she can't make herself regret. But the Peerage is a viper's nest, the Ostian church's authority outranks even the crown's, and Tristen's arrival — foreign, unclaimed, impossible to explain — has already caught the wrong attention. As the king's return draws closer and the court's schemes tighten around her, Tristen has to learn Abiniam's rules fast enough to survive them, all while unlearning the ones she brought with her from Earth: what she's allowed to want, and who she's allowed to want it from. She Will Become, Volume One, is a portal fantasy about the cost of arriving somewhere with your old life still open behind you — about desire, faith, and the long process of becoming someone who finally stops asking permission to want what she wants.

Andrea is a fiction writer and advocate for human possibility. By day, she works as an eligibility specialist, a position that has become her greatest teacher. In this role, she helps vulnerable people access vital resources while navigating complex systems—work that has profoundly shaped her understanding of dignity, resilience, and the quiet strength of ordinary people facing extraordinary circumstances. By night, she channels these insights into fiction, crafting stories infused with wonder, transformation, and hope. A self-described bohemian at heart, Andi's creative spirit is fueled by her professional work, and her professional commitment is sustained by her creative practice. She draws inspiration from Wonder Woman's fierce compassion, the mythology and symbolism of unicorns, and the belief that stories are portals to truth and healing. Her writing explores the intersection of the real and the magical—the everyday heroism of vulnerable people and the transformative power of imagination.
